SHORT TERM GOALS

To promote close interaction among industry, faculty and students to enrich the learning process and enhance career opportunities for students.
To widen the opportunities and ensure regular skill updating of faculty and staff through structured training programs.
To improve department to such an extent that it can be recognized atUniversity level.
To enhance the quality placements.
To enhance qualifications of staff.
Arrange Special classes for rural students for improving their Communication Skills and personality development.
To enhance rural students to work in the research sector related to Tribal Infrastructure.

LONG TERM GOALS

To have at least one rank in university in first ten rankers every year.
To start P.G. courses in Civil Engineering.
To train students and staff in emerging technologies like Green Building, LEED audits, Architectural designs, Latest Software for sustainable career growth.
To have well developed Research and Development center in the department.
Keep faculty members abreast with the latest trends and developments in Research, Technology and Teaching methodologies especially through interaction, by sending them to other premier Institutions for research and by conducting AICTE-ISTE sponsored STTPs in our College.
To train the students for creative thinking, innovation in preparing projects that can be commercialized.
To motivate students for developing mindsets for development of nation’s socio-economic aspect.

Professor Shaikh Ibrahim Asad

The Department of Civil Engineering in JAMIA INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMNET STUDIES has been constantly contributing to the cause of engineering and training right since its inception. The department has highly qualified faculty supported by excellent laboratories and state of art computing facilities. The department owns an impressive library with several rare and highly referred books on the subject of civil engineering. The faculty members have published significant number of research papers in international and national journals and the proceedings of various international and national seminars, conferences, symposia and workshops. The department has organized several guest lectures and workshops so far to develop the technical skills of the students. The department also conducts specialist trainings to keep the students abreast with the latest developments in the field. To further progress the cause of employability and adaptability of the pupils in the professional walk of life, a TPO cell has also been constituted and is functional. In this cell, the students along with teachers get a hands-on experience of the practical outreach of the field.

The Department of Civil Engineering is committed to develop a vibrant and broad-based graduate program with emphasis on up to date curriculum, quality faculty and staff, field and industrial training to prepare engineers with knowledge for professional practice guided by strong conviction towards morality and ethics.
